1. Substrate Pre-treatment

During construction, first carefully and thoroughly clean the working surface. Ensure the substrate is flat, fixtures are secure, free from loose mortar, oil, dust, and free water, keeping it clean. Loose fixtures or mortar on the substrate must be cleaned, replaced, or reinforced. If the substrate mortar shows signs of powdering, re-lay the mortar layer or apply a special concrete interface agent until the surface is smooth, flat, and free from powdering.

 

2. Mixing Method

The products used in this system are pre-proportioned and packaged. Please follow the mixing instructions on the back of the packaging bucket. Open the plastic bucket and remove all the inner packaged raw materials. First, pour the liquid material into the plastic bucket, then slowly add the powder material into the bucket while stirring with an electric mixer until no lumps remain. Let the slurry sit and mature for about 3 minutes, then stir again for about 30 seconds before use. Use the mixed slurry within 45 minutes.

 

3. Construction Process

(1) Before construction on a dry substrate, first moisten the substrate until no free water is present, then proceed with construction.

(2) First Coat: Apply one coat of YOOGU Kitchen and Bath Special Waterproof Base Slurry on the cleaned and prepared substrate until it dries and sets.

(3) Second Coat: After the previous coat has dried and set, apply one coat of YOOGU Kitchen and Bath Special Waterproof Middle Slurry. The length of each coating operation should not exceed 30 cm to avoid affecting the adhesion of the next process due to rapid drying of the slurry.

(4) One Layer of Fabric: While the previous coat is still fully wet, quickly and naturally lay the pre-cut polyester fabric onto the coating, ensuring the fabric fully integrates with the slurry, without wrinkles or air bubbles, while maintaining some slack.

(5) Third Coat: Immediately while the polyester fabric surface is still wet, apply one coat of YOOGU Kitchen and Bath Special Waterproof Middle Slurry, ensuring the slurry is even, full, without missed spots, and with tight sealing around the edges, allowing it to integrate with the previous coat until dry and set.
