The above waterproof materials: asphalt coating, modified asphalt, and SBS coils are the main components of asphalt:

Because the color steel itself has a high thermal conductivity coefficient, the roof temperature is very high in summer, and the main component of the coil is asphalt. The characteristic of asphalt is softened at high temperatures, which leads to the loss of waterproofing effect of the material. It is prone to cracking and falling off, causing serious water leakage on the roof. Moreover, the underside of the roll material has rust and corrosion, so it needs to be re-watered.

The above coil materials, TPO, geotextiles, etc. are collectively referred to as "raincoat-style" waterproofing:

That is, the waterproof layer laid by the coil material is like a raincoat on the building. It is called a "raincoat" because the coil waterproof layer is laid on the roof, causing the coil waterproof layer to be unable to stick closely to the base surface. When encountering uneven roofs, there will be hollowing. Because of the characteristics of the coil material, if the coil material cracks, which causes water to rush into the inside of the coil material and cannot be discharged, then color steel will be easily rusted in a humid environment for a long time, resulting in an increase in later construction costs.

According to our company's years of experience in waterproofing, it is known that if the roof leak is needed, the following four conditions must be met when choosing waterproofing materials:

1. The summer weather is hot, and the temperature of the color steel plate roof can reach up to 75°C. Traditional asphalt waterproof materials are prone to melt and flow at high temperatures. After a period of time, they will crack and hollow, and the waterproofing effect is not good. Therefore, the selected materials need to have extremely strong resistance to high and low temperatures.

2. Since the color steel plate is in a shrinking state for a long time, the rigid waterproof material has poor following the base surface and breaks under the tensile action of the base surface, and eventually loses the waterproof effect. Therefore, the selected material must have extremely strong tensile resistance.

3. Since the roof waterproofing system is exposed to the roof, the selected material must have strong UV resistance to avoid premature aging and powdering, resulting in loss of waterproofing effect. Therefore, the selected materials need to have extremely strong resistance to ultraviolet rays and aging.

4. It has green and environmentally friendly, harmless and odorless, corrosion-free and flame-retardant functions to cope with green and environmentally friendly certification and use.

Taking into account comprehensively, our company recommends the following construction plan for the problem of water leakage on the steel structure roof:

Pure propylene dilute acid waterproof system for metal roofing (three-coating-cloth)

Brushed acrylic base layer waterproof coating (base layer)------used to bond with the substrate to achieve 100% continuous full adhesion (in the temperature range of 30°C to +80°C, the waterproof coating is not affected by the temperature)

Wet-stitched polyester cloth-----is used to enhance the tensile, tear and fatigue resistance of the coating.(The front is a single-strand polyester thread and the back is a double-strand polyester thread, which has a very strong stretching ability. There is an essential difference between sewing polyester fabrics and non-woven fabrics)

Brushing acrylic base layer waterproof coating (base layer)-------used to weave the mesh structure voids of polyester cloth through the gap, so that the intermediate layer and the base layer coating are fully infiltrated and integrated, effectively enhancing the sealing performance of the coating.

Brushed acrylic surface waterproof coating (surface layer)----reflects sunlight on the roof, which is used to resist external ultraviolet rays, resist aging and shrinkage, and protect the waterproof coating for a longer service life.
