At the 2017 National Construction Waterproof Product Quality Improvement Work Conference held on December 7, the Product Quality Supervision Department of the General Administration of Quality Supervision and Inspection reported the results of the national supervision and random inspection of the quality of building waterproof coils, waterproof coatings and construction sealant products in 2017. The results show that 13 batches of building waterproof coils, 2 batches of waterproof coatings, and 3 batches of building sealants do not comply with the standards. Unqualified enterprises include 18 companies including Gucheng County Hongyuan Waterproof Materials Co., Ltd., Shanghai Huafei Waterproof Materials Co., Ltd., and Weifang Xindongyuan Glue Industry Co., Ltd.

In the third batch in 2017, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine randomly inspected 126 batches of building waterproof roll products produced by 126 enterprises in 19 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Chongqing, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, etc. Including five products: elastomer modified asphalt waterproof roll, self-adhesive polymer modified asphalt waterproof roll, polymer waterproofing material-sheet (composite sheet resin FS2), wet-paved waterproof roll, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) waterproof roll.

The random inspection found that 13 batches of products did not meet the standards, involving soluble matter content, thermal aging (low temperature flexibility, dimensional change rate, peel strength coil and aluminum plate), hot air aging (tensile strength retention rate), low temperature flexibility, elongation (maximum peak elongation), oil seepage, joint peel strength, peel strength (roll and roll, roll and aluminum plate), stickiness, peel strength between coil and roll (no treatment, heat treatment), peel strength between cement mortar (no treatment, thermal aging), tensile elongation (dome temperature, low temperature), composite strength (FS2 surface layer and core layer), heat resistance and other items.

In the second batch in 2017, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine randomly inspected 40 batches of waterproof coating products produced by 40 enterprises, and 2 batches of products did not meet the standards.

A random inspection found that a batch of 951 colored elastic acrylic waterproof coatings (20kg/barrel 2017-04-25) of Shanghai Huafei Waterproof Materials Co., Ltd. was found to be unqualified in low temperature and flexibility items; a batch of single-component polyurethane waterproof coatings (25kg/barrel 2017-04-20/170420) of Zhejiang Jintang Construction Waterproof Materials Co., Ltd. was found to be unqualified in naphthalene content items.

A random inspection found that three batches of products did not meet the standards and involved items of tensile bond damage area, tensile modulus, and tensile bond strength.

Companies that fail the random inspection of sealant for construction include: Weifang Xindongyuan Glue Industry Co., Ltd., Shandong Yongguan Glue Industry Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Shengbaoda Industrial Co., Ltd.
